the following information should be helpful:

Original Art
Much of the artwork displayed on joancolbert.com is available for sale. With the exception of hand-pulled prints, original art is just that- original and one-of-a-kind. I do exhibit my work and participate in the occasional art festival, so there is a possibility that the piece you desire may already be sold. For that reason you should contact me promptly if you view a piece that you like. Although there are multiples of most of my prints, the editions are very small and availability is limited.

Commissions
Please contact me if you are interested in a commissioned piece of artwork. Although costs vary, dependent upon media, size and subject matter, in general the following guidelines apply to commissioned work:

• Mixed media portraits are based on photographs of the subject. A selection of candid shots is ideal, especially if shot in natural light.
• Please contact me for an estimate of cost. In general, the basic cost is dependent upon size, medium and complexity; each additional figure/subject in the same piece increases the basic price by one third.
• A deposit of half the final cost is required. This deposit is non-refundable.

The Fine Print

Refunds
My relationship with my patrons and clients is important to me. The artwork we surround ourselves with should enhance our surroundings and touch our souls. If, for some reason, you are not happy with your purchase the following return procedures apply:

- You must contact me within five business days to make arrangements for the return of the artwork.
- The artwork, along with matting and framing, if applicable, must be returned in excellent condition. Please pack it carefully and fully insure it before mailing. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
- I will exchange artwork or refund the cost, minus a 15% handling fee, when the above terms are met.
- Commissioned work is non-refundable.

Once purchased, the owner claims the rights of personal use. Copyright and reproduction rights remain the property of the artist.

Inspired by basset hounds, Thurber and Dylan, this original block print is hand printed in black and brown ink. Image is approximately 4 1/2" square. Mat size is 8 x 10.
