Since 1990 Joan Colbert has participated in a limited number of outdoor art festivals in northeast Ohio, including Akron Arts Expo, Kent Art in the Park, Medina Art in the Park, Hudson Art on the Green, Fairlawn Art in the Park, Friends of the Little Art Gallery Art Festival, Crooked River Arts Festival and Akron City Faire. She has won numerous awards and ribbons, twice winning Best of Show at the Akron Arts Expo.
